Screening & Background Checks
Some roles require screening steps. If a job needs screening, we'll tell you upfront, explain what's required, and ask for your permission before anything is ordered or scheduled.
Screening sounds intimidating — it doesn't have to be. We'll walk you through every step, tell you exactly what's needed, and never order anything without your say-so first.
What screening may include
Depends on the job and location
Identity Verification
Using a government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport). May include authenticity and identity-fraud checks.
Education Verification
Verification of degrees, diplomas, and transcripts with schools or credential services.
Employment Verification
Job titles and dates verified through past employers or references (where available).
License & Credential Checks
License, certification, and trade credential checks with issuing authorities and registries.
Criminal Background Checks
State, county, and national searches when required for the job.
Drug Testing
Urine, saliva, hair, or blood testing with standard chain-of-custody procedures, when required.
What you'll likely need to provide
A driver's license alone usually isn't enough to run an accurate background check. Screening providers typically need identifying info like full name, date of birth, address, and (in many cases) Social Security number, plus a driver's license number for motor vehicle record checks.
Fair Chance & Respect
We support fair, job-related screening. Employers using matchAmint are expected to follow equal opportunity and fair-chance requirements and to use screening information in a job-related way.
Can I see my background check report?
Yes. If a background check is run, you can access your report through the Background Checking Candidate Portal. We'll send you the link by email and you can also find it in your matchAmint candidate portal.
What if something looks wrong?
You'll be able to view dispute instructions when you access your report through the candidate portal.
